Medalist's new specialty pellets for horses come in two options Alfalfa pellets and Sprout pellets. Sprout pellets consist of barley sprouts, alfalfa, oat hay, and Timothy Grass. Barley sprouts are a fresh, vertically farmed feed that is processed into pellets within a day of harvest.
The sprout pellets have vet-recommended optimal protein with 50% more energy than alfalfa hay. Because the barley sprout the energy sources are slow-release and easily digestible, this feed lowers the risk of colic and founder. It is a better feed for your horses.
We take your horse's nutrition very seriously and want to earn your trust! Just so that you are aware, it takes 5-8 business days from the day you place your order to the time it gets delivered. That's because we take the time to mix the best ingredients, make fresh pellets daily, and schedule the most efficient delivery schedule to keep shipping low or free depending on your area.
Feeding Instructions: Feed 1.5% to 2% of body weight per day for the maintenance of horses. EXAMPLE: If you have a 1000 lb horse, feed 15-20 lbs a day.
Storage: Please store in a dry area. Super Sack Totes are weather-resistant, but not completely water-proof. We recommend adding a tarp for rainstorms.
Medalist Feed is not responsible for mold due to lack of care.

Complete nutrition for an endurance horse!
“I own an OTTB who requires just a little more than the average horse for nutrition. He is my current endurance horse. He has battled with on again off again tying up, mental struggle, and muscle loss. So many owners are quick to say their horse has a bad attitude, is unwilling and stubborn. However, nutrition plays the biggest role in their overall mental and physical health. Sometimes the smallest nutritional change can make the biggest difference. Three weeks ago I purchased my first bag of Medalist Cubes to try in place of commercial grains. WOW!!!! What a difference!!! His Topline is filling in nicely, no issues of tying up and he mentally is willing and ready to work. I can’t say enough great things about this product. The best part is there is ZERO waste! I’m a forever customer. Thank you Medalist feeds!!!!!” - Tanya C. West Point, Utah
My horses love the Medalist Sprout Pellets . I’ve been soaking them for my foals and they love them too ❤️ They are more expensive than regular hay cubes but MUCH easier to scoop and carry for feeding .
My horses love the sprout pellets
I have a small Arabian/Quarter horse gelding who is 28 this year. He LOVES the pellets. Now that he is on them, he cannot waist any of it. "He cleans his plate". Even the pellets that do fall on the ground, he finds and cleans them up. Delivery is a breeze. Thank you, Medalist Feed!
I wanted to order a pallet of 50 lb. bags because moving 1500lbs. of pellets 10 lbs. at a time is harder than 50lb. bags. Austin didn't know what I was talking about when I said I will be glad when they get the new breathable 50 lb. bags.
New delivery guy from out of Logan, can’t remember his name was excellent. I just had shoulder surgery and in a sling so he helped my husband get the pallet on a floor dolly and then helped wheel it in place in the barn. Really appreciated that. We supplement our alfalfa with the sprout pellets and horses love them
